Beading Wires consist of multiple-strands of wire, which is then coated in clear Nylon. The wires are generally made from Stainless Steel, but can also be Sterling Silver. The wires can also be plated with other metals (Gold, Silver, Copper etc) or coloured. The clear Nylon Coating means that the wires never tarnish.

 

The greater the number of Strands, the greater the flexibility. Hence 49-strand is the most flexible, 7-Strand the least. 19-Strand is an excellent compromise between flexibility and price.
